The Advanced Network Engineer course is designed for IT Professionals either already in-situ,
under pressure of time to come up to speed with Network high-end configuartion, services and
applications or for personnel wishing to re-enter, re-role or show a perspective employer that
they are confident with the latest LOB application for IT Support.
Even though time out-of-the-office is at a premium there is just too much material to cover in
one week and thus the course takes place over two 5 day blocks (taken as one package or two
distinct parts (Part 1 & Part 2)).
We believe it fills a gap in the market within IT technical training where all too often
certification or training takes many weeks to complete, covers a significant ammount of
information that the experianced IT professional is already well versed in and is too expensive
in today's austere climate.
The course pre-requisites are as follows:
A min of 2 years hands-on IT networking systems. Familiarity and comfort with TCP/IP and other
critical LAN/WAN/WLAN protocols. Ideally candidates would already hold at least one IT
Certification such as Microsoft MCITP, MCDBA, MCDST or CISCO CCNA,or Comptia N+,A+, Server+
Security+ etc..
The course utilises Client/Server Hardware and software (including Blade Server), Imaging Tools,
Virtual Images and hands-on Labs. It is centred around Microsoft and Cisco systems with some
Linux and VMWARE.
Whilst it does not prepare candidates for any one particular Certification or exam it will be a
great start towards many. In the fullness of time we hope to have an exam associated with the
training adding yet further credibility to the content.
