Cookie Policy
A cookie is a small file that a website can store on your device. This page explains which cookies itopsec.com can set and why. A logged-out visit to any page on this website sets no cookies at all — we do not use Google Analytics, advertising cookies or any other visitor-tracking technology.
Cookies this website can set
- WordPress (site login): if you log in to manage the website, WordPress sets a session cookie so you stay logged in. This only ever applies to our own staff, not to visitors.
- Wordfence (security): our security plugin may set a short-lived cookie if you are asked to complete a security check after suspicious activity is detected from your connection, and sets login-related cookies for staff who use two-factor authentication to log in. It does not set cookies for ordinary visitors.
- Gravity Forms (enquiry forms): submitting one of our enquiry forms does not set a cookie.
As we add caching (WP Super Cache) and login-page protection (Hide My WP / WP Ghost) to the site, both are configured only to speed up page delivery and hide the admin login address, and are not expected to set any cookie for an ordinary, logged-out visitor. We will update this page once those features are live, after confirming what, if anything, they set.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Since this website sets no cookies for a normal, logged-out visit, doing so will not affect your ability to browse the site or submit an enquiry.
